JetBoarding captures the natural power of a sideways stance and the thrill and excitement of surfing, water skiing, wake boarding, Kite Surfing and speed sports all in one. Even though there are similarities, JetBoarding is not expected to take over any of the associated sports, but to bring together these sports into an enhanced and different experience.
Easy for the Beginner…
JetBoarding might seem like a difficult sport but the combination of the "easy to use control" and the balance and buoyancy of the board makes the basics quite simple. While some sports can take months to learn, most people that try JetBoarding the first time manage very well. In fact we have a "100% STAND UP RATE" amongst first timers so far.
“IF YOU CAN RIDE A BIKE... YOU CAN RIDE A JETBOARD”
Yet Challenging for the Athlete…
Even though it is simple enough so that people can stand up their first time, it can still be challenging enough to keep the experienced rider in the game. Powering a Jet-Propelled surfboard at speed powering into turn is a unique skill unto itself.
See below to get an idea of what you can do when you picked up the basics.
The Jetboard is revolutionary in its ability to keep the rider firmly attached while leaning into a high speed turn and extending the riders body out over the water. It is simply a complete rush to use your hand as a hydroplane on the water, pushing up on the water as you bring the board back up under your feet.
Another exciting feature of the Jetboard is the pliable handle that allows the rider to walk to the nose of the board. The rider can hold that position with the board at top speed as long as the nerves hang in there. There is nothing like doing 65 k/hr+ with nothing but water in front of you. That is truly walking on water...
The extreme thrill of getting air is what has propelled wakeboarding, snowboarding and skateboarding to new heights in recent years. JetBoarding is no exception with the highest air and all the tricks right behind. As the board gets lighter, the upcoming extreme riders will only be limited by their imagination...
Wave riding (surfing) has only begun to be experimented with. It is the philosophy of Team JetBoarder Australia as watermen and surfers, not to see this craft competing with surfers, but used to get to "outer breaks' and surf breaks not easily accessible by the general public. Think about the possibilities touring around the point to that "hard to get to" spot or motoring to the outer breaks with nothing but you and the board...
Tandem is a fun way to include the younger kids or for the couple that want to perform tandem maneuvers as seen in surfing.
